The word merchants of this world are often poets as well as writers of fiction and non-fiction. Some of us just can’t help ourselves, because otherwise there is no sense to this crazy kaleidoscope world, at all.
If you are a roaming rhymer and interested in verse, metered and otherwise, rhyming and non-rhyming, you may be interested in my other blog page “Down the Poet’s Path…,” located at http://emarshallevan.wordpress.com/.
This brief bit of doggerel is from that collection:
The Jealous Poet
I envy the poets … Who fill each line … With colorful action … Of every kind. … Who rhyme … On a dime … And open the mind’s door … To so much more … Insight and thought, … Trapped and caught, … Than I ever knew was there. … It just doesn’t seem fair … That I am left scribbling words … Whilst they are writing in colorful flocks of birds. by E.
